A major part of the SLVDR mission is to get donated action sports products to deserving youth around the world.  Surfing, Skating and Snowboarding played key roles in the development of SLVDR.  The Common Thread Project has been set up to help give similar opportunities for growth to others who might not have the means to stay involved with board sports but believe in progression and expression.  Being involved with board sports promotes individuality, teaches perseverance, creates self worth and fosters confidence and creativity.  A person will call on any and all of these qualities to help them succeed in the future.

“TRASH TO TREASURE”

SLVDR is working with 4 select key dealers to carry out the first Common Thread Project / Trash To Treasure.  In4mation, Univ, Milo and Civil are shops that have supported SLVDR from the start and all share the desire to give a hand to deserving youth.  Each shop will receive 50 special edition tee shirts to trade out to customers who donate gently used skate product such as shoes, decks, trucks, wheels, etc.  Each shop has named a group in their community that they will pass on the donated product on to.  The amazing thing about this project is how each of the shops already had a connection to the group they are donating to and the genuine stoke to be involved.

Here is the shop info and group they are donating to
