Though this did not stop him from sending out his resume and video to colleges. His top choices were UCLA AND Standford. Standford did not give him a scholarship, so he went with Harvard. It was later quoted that Joe Lacob (Majority owner of the Warriors) criticized Stanford’s recruitment, saying failure to recruit Lin “was really stupid. The kid was right across the street. If you cant recognize that, you’ve got problems.” His college career was no different, he received a lot of success at Harvard as well.

He went undrafted in the 2010 draft and was invited to the Dallas Mavericks summer league. In a game versus the number one draft pick, John Wall, Jeremy Lin impressed many NBA teams and was offered contracts by them. He decided to sign with the Golden State Warriors, his hometown team. His first year was guaranteed and the team had an option to drop him the second year of his contract. He had little playing time and was eventually waived the next year. Next, the Houston Rockets picked him up, but waived him only games before the regular season began. The last team to pick him up was the New York Knicks, they were point guard heavy and he was worried that when Baron Davis was back, he would be waived again. He thought about the possibility and began thinking ahead about going to play in Europe or even getting a job unrelated to basketball. In a game against the New Jersey Net, Jeremy Lin entered the game against an All-Star caliber point guard, Deron Williams. He played amazing, finishing with career highs in points, rebounds and assist. The rest you say is history from there, he went on helping the Knicks win the next 7 games, including one where he dropped 38 on my Lakers. More importantly, he made players around him so much better. At this point, he was everywhere. Newspaper, magazines, websites, etc. could not stop talking about him. He worked hard to get where he is, nothing was handed to him. SLVDR rarely promotes celebrities/athletes, but when we heard that he wanted SLVDR gear, we could not say no. His story inspired Rob and myself. We have nothing, but love and respect for the guy. He is the first Asian-American in the NBA, if you have not watched a game because you were on Mars, definitely tune in. Also, If you have not seen his latest endorsement deal with Volvo; He was wearing the Regent shirt.
